When asked, Chris and I often joke that we ‘met on the internet….’ which usually manages to raise an eyebrow or two. Then we laugh and explain, “No, no, not like that….”
We’ve both been passionate about sportbikes for many years, and we were both members of a large internet community for sportbike enthusiasts (though at that time, neither of us yet had a bike). Sometime in early 2004, I had posted up a question about a particular bike that was for sale; I received a message from another member on the board, simply saying “Hey, if you don’t end up buying that bike, will you put me in contact with the seller, I’m interested.”
Over the next several months, we continued to chat over the website, and via email, and developed a friendship. We had friends in common, lived near each other and had even (unknowingly) run into each other at a softball game a time or two. But it wasn’t until months later, when we decided to meet up and shoot some pool that the sparks flew. That was August 18th, 2004.
The years since that date have been amazing and exciting, and we’re very much looking forward to starting our new life together, as husband and wife.

Love your blog Chris and Nee. I followed your link here from OneWed. Hope all is well and you are enjoying the marriage.
